Twix and Kiara kittens are here. Kiara surprised us with two marbles! There are two boys, one silver spotted, one silver marble. There is also one silver marble female who is stunning at birth. I am extreemly excited about this litter. Pictures will be posted when the kittens are two weeks old.
Twix and Athena are expecting! Kittens are expected the third week of July. Their last litter produce six stunning kittens. Please email me if you are interested in a Twix X Athena kitten.

About Us

PlayKatz is located in Aurora, the National Historic District and Antiques Capitol of Oregon. We breed out Bengals for health, temperament and beauty. All of out kitties are raised in our home and given tons of love and attention.

We are members of The International Cat association (TICA), The International Bengal Breeders Association, Inc. (TIBBA) and The International Bengal Cat Society (TICBS), as well as supporters of the Bengal Rescue Network. We pride ourselves in running a very clean and healthy cattery and producing beautifully healthy kittens.

Our kittens are raised underfoot and are handled from the moment they are born. They are raised with children and are surrounded with love from birth. We offer a written health guarantee for one year and require signed contracts with every kitten that leaves our home. Making sure each of our kittens has a happy healthy home is important to my family. Knowing that they will be well taken care of and loved brings us piece of mind.

At PlayKatz we strive for "cutting edge" Bengals featuring wild type, intense colors and clear backgrounds. We aim for open rosettes with lots of acreage, whited/lighted tummies and tons of glitter. We mainly breed browns but have silvers once in awhile as well. These house leopards have the sweet temperament of domestic cats with the exotic look of their wild ancestors.

About Bengals

Bengal cats are the descendants of a cross between the Asian Leopard Cat and a domestic shorthair. Bengals make loving and intelligent housecats. They are curious and entertaining often playing fetch and enjoying water. Bengals enjoy companionship and adapt to other household pets quite well. They are great with adults and kids alike.

Colors, Patterns and other Characteristics

Several colors are available and recognized by TICA, brown, seal lynx, mink, sephia, and silver. There are also two patterns that are recognized, spotted and marbled.

Some cats coats have "Glitter," this is a high shine that has been developed in the Bengal coat. It is most noticeable in sun light.

There are also "Rosettes," this is dark outlining of coat markings. Rosettes show up in both spotted and marbled Bengals. There are many different shapes that rosettes can take on, such as paw print shaped, arrowhead shaped, doughnut or half-doughnut shaped or clustered and they are preferred to single spotting but not required.

The Fuzzies

Bengal kittens go through a stage from about four to twelve weeks, most commonly known as the "fuzzy uglies". A beautifully clear kitten at three weeks old may begin to acquire a ticked kitten coat at four to five weeks old. The kittens coat will begin to clear up around twelve weeks of age and be spectacular by six months of age.
